RECYCLING

Recycling

The Village of Russells Point encourages residents to reduce, reuse, and recycle to protect our environment and support community programs. Recycling not only keeps reusable materials out of the landfill, it also benefits local parks — the Village receives annual cash returns based on recycling tonnage, and those funds help improve our park system.

Village Recycling Center

The Russells Point Recycling Center accepts household recyclables such as paper, cardboard, and designated container materials. Residents should use the center responsibly and follow posted guidelines for accepted items.

LOCATION: 943 S. Orchard Island Road (just south of the Post Office)

Recycling services are available for Village residents; proof of residency may be required.

Additional information, including acceptable materials and schedules, is available through the Logan County Solid Waste District.

Household Waste & Organics

For yard debris such as leaves, grass, and brush, the Village offers organic yard waste drop-off at designated times (see the Yard & Leaf Waste page for details).

Support for Safe Disposal

While not part of standard recycling, the Village and partnering agencies provide other safe disposal services that help keep harmful materials out of the environment such as Medicine Disposal: Residents can safely dispose of unused or expired medications at secure drop boxes hosted by the Russells Point Police Department and Logan County Sheriff’s Office.

Why Recycling Matters

Recycling reduces waste, conserves resources, and supports community programs. By participating, residents help keep Russells Point clean, healthy, and enjoyable for everyone.
