Maintenance

The Village of Russells Point is committed to keeping our community well-maintained, safe, and attractive for residents, businesses, and visitors. “Maintenance” encompasses a range of public services and community standards that help preserve property values, enhance quality of life, and ensure a clean, orderly village environment.

Village Maintenance Services

The Village provides essential maintenance services across public infrastructure and facilities, including:

  • Street Maintenance & Repairs — Pothole patching, pavement upkeep, and roadway improvements to keep streets safe and functional.
  • Snow & Ice Control — Winter weather plowing and de-icing to promote safe travel throughout the village.
  • Parks & Public Spaces — Routine care of parks, playgrounds, trails, and green areas, including grass mowing, trash removal, and facility upkeep.
  • Storm Drain & Right-of-Way Upkeep — Clearing debris from drainage systems and rights-of-way to prevent flooding and preserve proper water flow.
  • Municipal Buildings & Grounds — Regular cleaning, repairs, and improvements at village facilities used by the public.

These services are carried out by village crews who work year-round to keep Russells Point functioning smoothly and looking its best. If you see a maintenance concern on public property, you are encouraged to report it to the Village Office.

Property Maintenance & Community Standards

Property owners in Russells Point are also responsible for maintaining their own private properties in accordance with village codes, including:

  • Yard Upkeep: Keeping grass, weeds, and vegetation trimmed and controlled.
  • Cleanliness: Removing trash, debris, and clutter from lawns and lots.
  • Abandoned Property Registration: Registration and upkeep of vacant properties to avoid blight and neighborhood decline.
